Yesterday, on January 12, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Andrei Chistol, had a meeting with a group of young people participating in a mobility project for students and university staff, funded by the European Union. The delegation consists of students from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Georgia, Russia and Moldova.
During the meeting, were discussed several aspects related to education and the role of young people as promoters of democratic values. Andrei Chistol mentioned the importance of educational policies and of objectives intended to contribute to the personal and professional formation of young people. For these reasons, the official emphasized that intercultural exchange programs, academic mobility, study visits have an important role in stimulating the civic activism and responsibility for the benefit and the prosperity of the state.
The students expressed their positive attitude to the Erasmus+ scholarship Program, which, in their view, is a viable binder for cooperation on various levels for educational purposes and the participation in commons projects, and which facilitates the plenary connection of the Republic of Moldova to EU standards. At the same time, they expressed their availability to cooperate with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research in the future.
