Minister Monica Babuc had a meeting with the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Pascal Le Deunff

Today, on 15 February, Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Pascal Le Deunff.

 

During the meeting, the officials discussed the perspectives of cooperation in the fields of education, culture and research between the two countries, being approached several subjects regarding the implementation of academic mobility projects and stimulation of inter-university cooperation, especially in the field of research and joint realization of scientific projects, the extension of cooperation with French partners on issues related to the elaboration of methodological works for French language teachers, but also about the facilitation of mutual participation of cultural operators in artistic residency programs and cultural events, as well as providing training courses for cultural cadres in the relevant institutions in France.

 

Minister Monica Babuc expressed thanks to Embassy of France for supporting Republic of Moldova Republic of Moldova, stressing the historical importance of Francophonie through creating opportunities for cooperation and implementation of numerous projects, both educationally and culturally, and referred, in context, to achievement bilingual projects, to accord scholarships for students, teachers and researchers through the French Alliance. At the same time, the official noted the need to deepen the cooperation in the field of cinematography, co-production and exchange of experience, calling for support from French partners to develop projects of the Creative Europe Program.

 

H.E. Pascal Le Deunff expressed the willingness to deepen the bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, culture and research, so that Moldovan citizens continue to benefit by the academic mobility programs offered by France, by subsidies offered to teachers for teaching additional French hours, but also by the French experience in safeguarding and restoring the national cultural heritage objectives. At the same time, the official expressed thanks for the support offered in organizing of the Francophonie Days, the ,,Piano Nights” and ,,ClassFest” festivals, but also for the beautiful collaboration with the French Alliance of Moldova.

 

In the end, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the fields of education, culture and research, but also to organize jointly, during the deployment of Francophonie Days, a visit to an educational institution where the bilingual classes are deploying.
