Today, on 26 February, Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc had a meeting with the Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova, Simone Giger.

The main subject of the discussion was the cooperation in the field of technical vocational education and curricular modernization of ,,The Civic Education” discipline.

Minister Monica Babuc mentioned that the Ministry is in the process of re-evaluating and revising the school curricula, reason wherefore the support of the foreign partners is more than timely. The official also expressed thanks to the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova for the constant support given to the Republic of Moldova and referred, in context, to projects in the field of vocational and technical education and pre-school education, as well as to projects in the field of culture such as be the ,,DescOPERĂ” festival, the National Dayof the Folk Costume, the National Carpet Fair.

Simone Giger expressed his availability to intensify bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, culture and research, reiterating the intention of the Swiss Cooperation Office to intensify its support to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research on the implementation of projects such as the development of dual education and change the school curricula of ,,The Civic Education” discipline by designation experts in the working groups and organization study and documentary visits for their members.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation by organizing joint projects with impact on the development of the educational system in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the organization in further important projects in the field of culture.
